Hello Calvary Families,

I am looking forward to our next season of Children’s Ministry at Calvary! I am thankful for your warm welcome over the last couple of weeks, and for those I have not met yet I am equally looking forward to meeting you and your students soon. I wanted to share a little about my faith journey and history as we get to know one another.

Growing up in a broken, Christian home I found my sanctuary in my local church community. The Lord continued to bring in leader after leader in my life who poured into me and inspired me to grow deeper in my faith. So much so, I literally left the day after I graduated high school for my first summer serving in camp ministry, and I have not looked back.

I worked for four years in camp ministry, serving elementary through high school students at Forest Home Christian Camps and Thousand Pines Christian Camps while getting my BA at Azusa Pacific University. While at APU, I also had the chance to intern with different youth groups in the area and serve on international missions trips in Mexico and South Africa where I taught the Gospel in  children’s outreach programming.

I am also coming into this role with a few years of Calvary experience behind me! When my husband Max and I started going to Calvary in 2020, we both were longing for a church community where we could start our marriage as one. Over the last couple of years, we have served in both Calvary Kids and with the high school students. I can’t tell you how many times I tell Max how proud I am of our kids and students. They want to know the Lord so deeply, and I am incredibly grateful to witness this. Nothing puts me on fire for the Lord more than sitting with a student and seeing the wheels in their head turn as they come to know and love God.

My hope and prayer is that the Lord guides me in using my past experience to serve our children and families well. I am confident in our staff and volunteers that we will work together to build programming that will engage our children, and most importantly point them to Christ.

Thank you for reading my letter, and I hope to see you at Calvary soon!

All my best,
